Rev. Halford Halford-Adcock
Photograph (very poor quality and only to be seen in WVA) and information from the Oxford Chronicle recording the death of the Rev. Halford Halford-Adcock, aged 74, on 3 Feb 1922. He was Chaplain to H M Prisons, Lincoln, Durham, Portland and Holloway.
He retired to Wheatley, perhaps in 1916, and lived at Greystones, 88 High Street. he was not officially attached to St Mary's Church, but he took services there and did other pastoral work around the village. He was a graduate of Exeter College Oxford. There is a window erected in his memory above the Lady Chapel in St Mary's Church. His son Herbert lived in Greystones after his father's death.
