An amateur concert was given in the school-room, on behalf of the Women's Working-Room Fund, under the management of Mr. W. Stallworthy. The following ladies and gentlemen kindly gave their assistance Mr. Biscoe, Misses A. and Mr. Firmstone, Mr. Hayes, and Miss J. Seary, Miss Green and Messrs. C. A. Bacon, W. Hanson, J. Seary, O. A. Penton, R. Bushwell, senior. The room was crowded, and the concert is acknowledged to have been the best held in Wheatley for many a year. A balance of about £7 will be handed over to the fund.
