Richard Archdale's will 1577

Four pages. According to Wheatley Manor by Edward Hess, his widow continued to live in the Manor until her death in 1622. In the meantime and on Richard's death, the Manor and its lands was bequeathed to Richard's son and heir, John. But John is not shown by Hess as owning the estate which, instead, was bought by Thomas Archdale who died in 1601. If this is correct, the provisions of this will, particulalrly as his widow lived until 1622, are largely irrelevant.

Held in black box 7 in cupboard in Merry Bells which needs special access arrangement
