Chapman's Yard. The 1910 Revaluation survey map shows this identified as 601, which covers entries 601-6, shown on the accompanying schedule.

Its history as a builders yard is not known, particularly as it has at least six housing untis. In the 1921 census, it is shown at sequence numbers 192-196, which come after 191 which refers to Frederick Fowler at 38 High Street, see record 1235.

On the map, site 396 is the site for Allen's milk-round business. In the 1921 census, Mary Allen was living here with her daughter Lizzie and 22-year-old son Frederick. See record 1767. He was nick-named 'Watery Allen' see record 1350 which has a photo of the house which they had lived in before it became a ruin.
