James Shorter

The other of the two James Shorters on the 1919 Wheatley list may have been a son, baptised on 5 August 1894 and listed in the 1901 Census as born in Wheatley, of Thomas Shorter and Mary Ann. Therefore a brother of Bertie Shorter. He appears to have attended the Congregational Chapel Sunday School in 1902. No evidence was found that a James Shorter had served with the Royal Garrison Artillery.
