Archive Notes:

George V Silver Jubilee 1935. Mr & Mrs Edgar Munt with their horses pulling a gypsy caravan. Horses usually pulled the dustcart, the rubbish from which was tipped into the village pit (or stone pit), a place remembered for the rats and the smell which was particularly bad when the rubbish was burnt. The horses were also used for hauling heavy loads for Cullums timber yard.
