Clifford Charles Chiddington

Born in 1899 in Horspath, Clifford Charles Chiddington, the third of four sons of George Chiddington, general labourer, born in 1852 in Oxford, and Selina nee Winney, born in 1863 in East Hanney, Berkshire. In 1901 and 1911 the family were living at Blenheim, Horspath. Two of his brothers, William and George junior, also served in the war: William returned but George lost his life. Clifford was at school in 1911.
