Various photos of the old stable block at the rear of the Merry Bells with access from Church Road which has had a variety of uses by different organisations since stabling was no longer needed. The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes used it as their local headquarters. The Scouts have used it (as is shown by the attached plan) and Thames Valley Police had a Wheatley police station there until 2020. The black and white photos taken in 1975 advertise good beds and stabling.
