Knight family of Holton, see Genealogy section. Correspondence/family research.

Family starts with Richard Knight, a yeoman of the Warren, (buried 1744) having married Framcis with two subsequent generations of Knight. Elizabeth Knight (christened 1751) had two marriages. first to George Ring (d. 1813 and from which union there was one known son - mysteriously recorded as Benjamin Knight), then Richard Washington. There is an earlier, unverified, reference to George Ring gamekeeper circa 1824, but this date does not fit with the genealogical tree.

Benjamin Knight married Martha Munt with a daughter Jane Knight who married Thomas Meloney. This union spawned two branches of the family, one via an only son William, whose surname is recorded as Millioni, with the remaining seven daughters keeping the original spelling of Meloney.

Four charts are shown, starting with Richard Knight and the two generation of Knights; then the two generations from Elizabeth Knight down to Jane who married Thomas Meloney and thus to the Millioni and Meloney trees.
