Postcard of Wheatley taken from The Howe 1907

Postcard of Wheatley taken from west of The Howe 1907, sent in 1907 to Mrs Hollis of Marlboro Road and in 1908 to Mrs Worth of Eltham, Kent by A.King. The quarry is very evident just below the wording 'Holloway Road' and the arrow to the right, and it is the only photo which we have showing the extent of this covering the Recreation Ground and the site of Templar's Close. Other features and buildings are also identified in the detailed version. These include Holloway Road (upper part), Blenheim, Park Hill, The Granary, Morland House, Pound Cottage, Railway Hotel and the bridge under the railway linking the two parts of The Manor ownership.
