Archive Notes:

This was at the back of the site now occupied by Rose Villa and a second new house behind.

Application for demolition of the derelict building and outbuildings in the conservation area. Only available for inspection at WVA.

This was the base for the milk round of Freddie Allen, nicknamed 'Watery Allen'. In 1931, the round was run by Catherine Allen. See also record 1767 regarding the other rounds and record 0754 for where the Allens lived in Kiln Lane.

Loophole window thought to be 13C according to Dr Margaret Wood, an eminent authority on medieval architecture. Owned by Allen family since before 1900 (? this is not confirmed by the 1910 valuation). Other similar images available for inspection at WVA
