65 High Street, Tudor Cottage

Photos of the cottage which was demolished in the late 1960s by the Hanks family.

Tudor Cottage, an early 18th century building, was pulled down in 1961 and replaced by the present house. The fire mark seen nailed to the wall was put there in 1800 to show that the property was insured with the Phoenix Assurance Company Ltd., see record 1583.
